What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and what is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapy?

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding and changing behaviour. It involves analyzing behaviour, breaking them down into smaller components and applying systematic interventions to bring position change.

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence based approach to developing socially significant behaviours and aims to decrease barriers to success in all environments. By using a collaborative and child  led approach, ABA therapy can promote positive changes across communication, social skills, daily living skills and much more.

Where will therapy take place?

Great Gains Therapy provides ABA services within the home, community and school. To determine the best location for therapy, our Clinical Director will discuss your child's strengths, needs and priority areas. 

How do I know how many hours of service my child needs?

​

The number of therapy hours needed is individualized and based on the unique needs of your child/youth. When speaking with our Clinical Director, you will work together to determine the number of hours that will meet the needs of your child. 

Who will work with my child?

​

Your child's sessions will be run by an InstructorTherapist. An Instructor Therapist employs ABA based strategies to teach new skills. Your child's therapy will be supervised by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. The BCBA will collaborate with you to design your child's treatment plan and continuously monitor their progress.

Can I use my Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Funding to pay for services?

Yes! Great Gains Therapy is an OAP approved provider.
